Teaching philosophy
Students learn best when they look forward to lessons and understand how they are improving. Each lesson balances enjoyment, strong foundations and practical goals.
Rather than forcing every student through the same program, Reuben adapts repertoire, explanations and lesson pace to the individual.

Who lessons are for
Students do not need prior experience—only an interest in learning and access to an instrument for practice.
An encouraging introduction to rhythm, reading, technique and the enjoyment of making music. Generally suitable from age five.
Lessons shaped around musical interests, school goals, exams, auditions or a desire to play with greater confidence.
A supportive path for first-time learners, returning pianists and adults who want to explore a new style.
Specialist help with improvisation, harmony, lead sheets, comping, jazz language and creative musicianship.
