Piano Lesson Policy

Lesson schedule

Lessons take place during school terms at a fixed weekly time agreed upon at enrolment.
The agreed time is reserved for the student for the duration of the term.

Term enrolment and payment

Lessons are invoiced as a full school-term block and payment is due within 14 days.
The number of lessons varies with term length, public holidays and the scheduled lesson day.
Students beginning partway through a term pay only for the remaining scheduled lessons.
Term payments are non-refundable for student absences, withdrawal or unused lessons, except where required by Australian consumer law.

Attendance and rescheduling

A lesson may be rescheduled when at least 24 hours' notice is provided.
Rescheduling is subject to teacher availability, and a preferred time cannot be guaranteed.
Each lesson can be rescheduled once and should normally be completed within the same term.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are forfeited.

Teacher cancellations

If Reuben cancels, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited against a future invoice. If neither option is reasonably available, the fee will be refunded.

Term renewal

Enrolment does not renew automatically.
To retain a regular time, the next term's invoice must be paid by its due date.
If payment is not received, the time may be offered to another student.

Punctuality

Lessons begin and end at the scheduled time.
Student lateness does not extend the lesson.
If Reuben is late, the missed time will be added or credited.

Books and materials

Books, learning materials and examination fees are the student's responsibility.

Communication and supervision

Requests should be emailed to [email protected] and are confirmed only once acknowledged.
Respectful behaviour is required.
For students under 18, parents or guardians are responsible for supervision before and after the scheduled lesson.

Agreement

Enrolment and payment of a term invoice constitute acceptance of this policy.
